Dr. Helena Filipe, OF Education Committee Member and Chair of the OF Simulation and Continuing Professional Development Subcommittees, facilitated a panel session “Best Practices in Cataract Surgical Simulation Training Symposium.” This event took place in Vienna on Monday, 11 September 2023, at the European Society Of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons Congress (ESCRS).
This was a successful presentation and panel who interacted with Q&A that extended to the audience. “There is a diverse approach to training by simulation throughout the world and a good conversation could be held in the panel and the audience. There is space for further work, and hopefully, the thematic series can be useful for the clinical educator interested in teaching by simulation.” – Dr. Helena Filipe
