CBO 2026

Mark your calendars for 9 – 12, September 2026, for the 70th Annual Brazilian Ophthalmology Congress in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil.

As Latin America’s largest ophthalmology conference, CBO features a comprehensive scientific program that connects professionals and advances clinical practice. The Ophthalmology Foundation is proud to endorse CBO LDP: “Empower One. Transform Many. From Learner to Change-Maker” on transformative leadership by education on 8 September. Additionally, the Ophthalmology Foundation will be involved in the CBO Conference of Educators on 9 September, “Beyond the Curriculum: How Europe Is Transforming Ophthalmology Training. Designing, implementing, and learning from the European Training Requirements.” The Ophthalmology Foundation endorses competency-based education supported by entrustable professional activities.

Faculty Development Programs and Residency Training Accreditation Information Session

Learn about the Ophthalmology Foundation’s free online programs to that give ophthalmic educators to tools to improve their teaching skills and become better trainers. Additionally, learn how your residency training program can become accredited through our low-cost program that focuses on evaluating and refining programs to meet international standards.
