OF-PAAO Mentoring Information Session

The Pan-American Association of Ophthalmology (PAAO) and Ophthalmology Foundation Mentorship Program is a flexible, participant-driven mentorship initiative designed to support career development, leadership growth, and cross-generational exchange among ophthalmologists across the Americas. You are invited to attend the informational Zoom meeting if you are interested in becoming a mentor or mentee. African Council of Ophthalmology 2026

The second in-person African Council of Ophthalmology (AOC) Congress will be held 31 July – 2 August 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa. This event aims to be the largest conference for eye workers in Africa, bringing together members from across the continent and across fields. The Ophthalmology Foundation will hold a symposium, How Can I Improve Our Training Program? that will cover a variety of program assessment methods and small groups will discuss strategies for improvement. Participants will be able to list methods of program assessment and analyze and improve detected issues or gaps. Visit our booth #28 in the exposition area to learn more about our programs.

Learn about the Ophthalmology Foundation’s free online programs to that give ophthalmic educators to tools to improve their teaching skills and become better trainers.
