The 69th annual Brazilian Ophthalmology Congress in Curitiba, Brazil, 27-30, August 2025. The Ophthalmology Foundation and Brazilian Council of Ophthalmology are holding pre-Congress event on 26 August 2025, 2:00 -6:00 PM for ophthalmology educators to discuss topics related to teaching the specialty.

ESCRS 2025
The 43rd Congress of European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) takes place 12-16 September 2025, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Join the Ophthalmology Foundation symposium Teaching Smarter, Not Harder: Rapid-Fire Pearls for Teaching Cataract and Refractive Surgery in the OR, Sim Lab, and Beyond on Monday, 15 September 2025, 10:30 -12:00 PM, Hall B3-M1. In this livable case-based symposium, five experienced surgeon-educators will deliver rapid-fire presentations packed with practical pearls for teaching cataract and refractive surgery across multiple settings, including the operating room, simulation learning environments, and other didactic settings.

The 28th annual European Association for Vision and Eye Research (EVER) Congress will be held 9-11 October 2025 in Florence, Italy. EVER is the leading ophthalmological research association in Europe which covers all areas of ophthalmology and the visual sciences. The Ophthalmology Foundation will hold a symposium focusing on the European Training Requirements in Ophthalmology. More information coming soon.

The American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) annual meeting takes place 17-20 October 2025, in Orlando, USA. The Ophthalmology Foundation will host an interactive symposium, Application of Online Tools to Enhance Interactivity and Foster Constructive Collaboration in Ophthalmology Education on Friday, 17 October, 1:30-4:30 PM, Location: Room W311CD (SYM01).
